Bonjour! Happy 4th of July to all my friends and family back home!

Today I met up with my cousin Eck to hangout and watch the France Vs. Germany football match. Eck came by my apartment to check it out and pick me up to take me to the 17th arrondissement where he lives. The best part was that he was on his scooter which meant I got to ride on the back. It was an adrenaline rush weaving in and out of cars making our way to the 17th (I wish I had my GoPro on me. Next time). Once we finally arrived we settled on a local neighborhood bar to watch the match. The atmosphere in the bar was great with the French fans really cheering on their team. Beers were relatively cheap by Paris standards which was nice. In the end, France lost. Although it was a bitter defeat, I wouldn’t have rather been anywhere in the world for the match (except maybe in Brazil). Afterwards we headed over to my cousin’s apartment where he cooked me a homemade duck steak with peppers, mushrooms, green beans and salad. It was delicious and the bottle of red wine was nice too.
